March 5, 2012 - Hello mom and Dad!

Padres!!!
It sounds like you guys had quite the week with Jacob´s baptism!!  Thats so awesome!  I wish so bad I could have been there.  I love when all of our family is together!  That seems like forever that we had my farewell with everyone! Thats too bad about my car being messed up.  Its alright though.  I haven´t driven a car in over 4 and half months! How weird.  Hopefully I´ll remember when I get back.

Well this week has been a pretty good week! I went to this place called Constitution to see if we could buy these cards called "Sube Cards"  basically we need it for the busses but they are super hard to get especially being a foreigner.  We have tried for weeks any way we could.  But still no luck there.  But it was a super cool place with huge ceilings and everything.  There was thousands of people trying to get the sube cards.  We never were able to get them. Oh well it was a nice trip.

This week I have been feeling like crap.  My companion says you will feel like crap the whole mission. haha I don´t know what is normal really.  But I feel fine now I think.  So no worries!  But some exciting news we had 2 baptisms Saturday!  It was so cool!  They were 2 kids 10 and 8 years old.  They are so funny. Their mom has been a member for a long time but super inactive until we got her back to church.  She is super nice and likes going to church.  She just had a baby last monday too!  It was cool.  Her name is Griselda.  She has a cool accent.  Her husband isn´t a member and smokes a lot but was super supportive about his sons getting baptized.  They were way excited to be baptized.  Lucio the youngest one yelled out the car window when we driving to the baptism, "I´m getting to be baptized!"  It was so funny.  The older one´s name is Franco.  We were pretty excited for them.  I´ll try and send some pictures.  They are so funny!  Then this Wednesday we are going to the wedding of one of our investagators which will be cool!  We plan on baptizing them next week.  Hopefully all goes to plan!  They are super cool.  They gave us wedding invitations and everything.

Today for P day we played a little basketball in my area with some other areas which was fun.  It was sunny and pretty hot and then we went into the church for a little bit and came out and it was stormy and then we were waiting for the bus to go to a town called Monte Grande and its started pouring!  It was crazy.  Then it settled down by  the time we got to Monte Grande.  We met some other Elders there and went to this place called "Buen Comer"  to go eat.  It is super nice!  Like way nice for Argentina.  It was all we could eat too! It was soo good!  The meat was amazing.  We only saw one cocaroach haha  But it started pouring and rain was leaking from the ceiling a little bit.  haha Gotta love it!  I ate so much.  Then we went outside and it started pouring so hard.  We made it to this little over hang thing and waited for it to pass but it wouldn´t stop so we ran for it and we got drenched! Litterally it was like I jumped in a pool almost.  haha It was so funny!  It was kind of fun actually but a little cold. haha

Well next Monday is transfers so I may or may not be leaving Luis Guillon so we will see what happens.  I think my companion will be staying there but we don´t know for sure.  We will just have to see what happens!  I am a little nervous but its alright.  Well Mom and Dad I hope you guys are still doing good!  Love ya guys a ton!  I think about you guys everyday!!  Thanks again for all the support. I can feel your guys love 6,000 miles away!  Hasta Luego! :D

February 27, 2012 - Have no fear your son is doing well!

Dear Mom and Dad!
I will say though I am pretty good at walking now. Haha I walk all day every day.  Its a good way to burn some calories I guess! haha  Actually this week I was a little sick with a sore throat and a little out of it.  But I am feeling better now.  I just have a little sore throat but nothing to worry about now.

Do you still use my laptop? Its weird to think I have a laptop. I forgot about all of that.  Also texting seems so weird to me now.  I know it has only been 4 months but seriously.  I remember in the MTC I used to get like phantom text messages and check my pocket to find like my planner instead of a phone.  Haha Basically I could have gone through the MTC twice now! Crazy huh?  Time flies when you are having fun I guess...  Hey thanks so much for that package! I miss peanut butter and stuff like that! Actually there is a really cool member family in my ward and the guy named Pablo MiƱo  who has a sister in Utah.  I guess a missionary came back for her and married her and went to Utah. Anyways she has been to st. george and sends them Peanut butter!  So I actually got to have some!  Just like a tiny bit.  One time they gave us like 2 mini resses and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.  It was so good.

Seriously this church is the best!  I love it so much! You can just see the changes it has on people.  Its amazing.  Its interesting how much different the wards are here and then again how simillar they are.

It was pretty disappointing that we couldnt baptize Aylen last week but I hope we will be able to soon! But this last Saturday we did have a baptism for a lady name Marta who is actually the mom of Alejandra who we baptized.  She would always say, Por ahora...no, Which means like, for now...no.  She would always say no but I think she knew it was true but was just a little scared of the water. haha  We were so glad to see her get baptized!  Ah this is the best work ever!!  I seriously so frustrating though because its still super hard for me to talk to the people but I am just going to be patient!  In time I know I will be able to talk with them.  I swear its been like a roller coaster.  Sometimes we are happy and have a little success and then next we are walking for hours and dont have any.  But I am learning so much here.

Well Mom and Dad I love and miss you like always!  Please be safe too and know that you are in my prayers every single night!!!  Love  you guys!

February 20, 2012 - Hola! Como andan?

Hey Mom and Dad!!
Now for this week we had a pretty tough week...  We didnt get to baptize Aylen this week basically its because of the parents.  Aylen wants to be baptized so bad but basically the mom is to scared to talk to the Dad about it.  I think he probably beats her or something.  Its really sad.  We will have to see what happens with her.  Hopefully soon we will baptize her! We will just keep praying. Anyways for Valentines day here I had intercambiars with another Elder so I was in a different area for the day.  It was pretty rough because I didnt have like any food the whole time.  I was starving.  It was horrible and when I got back to my pension the other elder ate like 9 of my hotdogs! So I had to go buy more food.  Latinos just use all your stuff. They are just raised different I think.  But anyways during intercambiars I woke up in the middle of the night to english love songs. hahah People were having a party outside the apartment or something. It was really funny.  Also this week all of these little kids came up to me and wanted me to say stuff in spanish because of my accent here.  They thought it was so funny! I was glad I could make them laugh at least.  But yeah it was definitely an interesting week!  I hope we can have some more success this coming week and that I can finally understand the language haha.  But I sure love and miss you guys and you are always in my prayers!  I am so glad I have supportive parents that are always doing the right thing!  I am more and more greatfull for you guys every single day! Thanks you soooooooo much!!!  Really guys you mean the world to me!  Take Luck! :)

February 6, 2011 - Hola el mejor familia en el mundo!

Mom and Dad!
It sounds like everything is just going so good for all of you guys!  I love to hear of all the good things you are doing. I feel sick about giving you the wrong address! I feel so bad.  Hopefully there is something you can do to fix it or something.  I know that is going to be such a pain for you guys. I´m so sorry!  Seriously please let me pay for it!  I can only imagine how much it costs!  Thanks for the thought at least! The means a lot.  I hope it all works out. Hopefully you have my real address now.  I don´t know how I forgot that part.  I thought I double checked it like 2 or 3 times.  But that one is the right one my companion said and he gets a lot of letters so thats good.  It cost about 9 pesos to send a letter so about $2 or so by the way.  No biggy.  Do we have any good pics of home?  People always want to see where  we live.  Also Dad do you know any good works outs like Ab ripper X or anything I can do here?  I kind of gave up on the jump rope because its a little too long and its hard to do in a small room.  I just run in place or do jumping jacks.  I want to stay in some kind of shape haha.  Its hard though.

This week has been a pretty tough week with a lot of walking in the sun.  Friday night for lunch we ate at a members house and she cooked omlets (Eggs)  I was so dissappointed haha.  When she left the room I hurried and gave them to my companion to eat.  She brought me another one out later and I did the same thing again haha.  I just ate rice with bannana sauce or something I don´t really know.  It was good though but I was still hungry.  Then the next day I woke up with a bad headache and I felt really sick. It didn´t want to do anything.  I rested a little and then went out to work.  I made it to lunch and they cooked asado which is like steak and potatoes and all this good stuff.  It was awesome! I ate so much and I felt stronger again which was good.  I still had a killer headache after but it was alright.  Their family is so cool we ate with! They are the Rodriguez family and after he cut my hair for me.  First real Argentine haircut. I wish you could meet them so bad!  You wouldn´t be able to understand them at all but still they are awesome.

Also this week it rained off and on which is good but sometimes its so humid when that happens. Its a little miserable but its all good.  Today is my P day and I got to see one my friends who was a mini missionary here last transfer and he came back to see us which was cool.  We always try to talk to each other even though he doesn´t know english and I know barely any spanish. Its always fun.  Also we got a new kid this transfer so now I´m not the youngest!  Its pretty cool.  But yeah nothing too crazy this week.  Well I better  write the rest of the family now..Take care and know how much I love and appreciate you guys and your prayers!  Keep on being awesome! Les amo mucho!  ustedes son el mejor familia en el mundo!!

January 9, 2012 - Still alive and well!

Hey mom and dad!!!
Hey it was nice to hear from ya dad!  Thanks for the awesome letter!
............................................................................There is seriously so many dogs here.  I walk past them all day long.  They bark but I haven´t had any problems with them yet.
Anyways some of my experiences this week were I got to go on intercambiars which are when we switch companions and I get to spend a night in their pension and go to their area.  I went with an Elder from Utah going home at the end of this month.  His name is Elder Jackman.  He´s a stud and we had an awesome time.  He even gave me a haircut...It will do I ´m not trying to impress any girls so its all good.  But as we were teaching the lady starts nursing her kid in front of us!  I guess its really common here.  I knew it was bound to happen soon. Oh well.  But their pension was pretty sweet and I liked it a lot.  We stayed up talking for a long time.  The problem was my stomach hurt pretty bad off and on.  Basically he told me my stomach will hurt more than it feels good here. But right now I feel fine so no worries here.  I think my companion might have a parasite or something though from his last area.  he said he has lost a lot of weight and stuff.  Oh this week I woke up and I was saying my prayers and there was a cacaroach on my ear!!  It was so gross!!  It doesn´t surprise me.  But seriously this place is so awesome! I just love the people here!  We are going to baptize this really sweet lady named Alejandra who is actually the aunt of Walter who we baptized a few weeks ago.  she was really unsure at first because she was a catholic but she prayed about the book of mormon and recieved her answer and finally committed to a baptismal date!  She is loving it though I think.  She has been coming to church and the members are really nice to her.  It seriously is so awesome!!  I´m really excited for her.  We have a lot of people we are trying to teach here but that is our next baptism.  But yeah its really really hot here.  Its like st. george except I´m walking everywhere in it in my shirt and tie.  We walk so many miles a day but I like walking so its kinda fun.  Me and my companion get along really well so that is definitely a plus.  We laugh a lot.  I´m still struggling with the language but its all good!  With time it will come I´m sure.  Oh last p-day I went to mcdonalds down here!!!  It was like 30-35 pasos! It was good though.  All they had was hamburgers.  I´m going to try and send you some pictures if I can right so I better go but I love you guys so much and think about you everyday and wonder what you are doing.  Just know home much I love you!!  Don´t ever take church for granted it is so important!  Our biggest struggle is getting people to just go to church!  I´m so glad you guys are so strong in the church.  I really am.  Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to have such great parents as you guys.  Anyways take care and I´ll talk to ya in a week!!!
con amor(X 3zillion),
